Using iRISK to track IG Governance in IT Systems
In ARMA’s 15/16 Operating Year, the Cincinnati Chapter will be presenting various aspects of Information Governance. For October, our topic is, TOOLS to help facilitate IG implementation and compliance.
Ever thought of having all your IG requirements in one checklist and have that those requirements completed before a system goes live? And if it’s an older system, have it brought up to IG code at that point? Well come hear how P&G did it with a team of internal IG stakeholders and iRISK, a multipoint assessment tool they created simply using Sharepoint. iRISK has helped them ensure good IG Stewardship during new software launches and now they are applying it to systems going through big upgrades. Randy Moeller, Records Manager at P&G will guide us through the tool, its development, and the processes used to make it part of the successful process it is today. This is definitely a process that can be created in any organization so come and see what great ideas you can take back to your shop.
Randy Moeller, CIP, has been in Records and Information Management for over 30 years. He has helped set-up document tracking systems, create retention schedules and company-wide policies, driven compliance globally, and created a protocol for archiving data and shutting down key systems.
